Sign-up now for the Citizen's Police Academy
Through the Citizen’s Police Academy (CPA), the Muskegon Police Department has provided the community an opportunity to gain insight of the local criminal justice system for 16 years. The CPA has been instrumental in providing citizen’s a better understanding of the functions of law enforcement; that assist in the alleviation of misconceptions and increase the positive relations between the citizens and police. It’s with the continued commitment of our City and County departments and supporting agencies to this program, that the CPA is embarking on its 36th session. The Fall session begins Wednesday, August 22th and for 10-weeks (Wednesday evenings 6-9pm) Muskegon County citizens are guided through our local criminal justice system.
The department has always been eager to not only provide the community with this opportunity, but also those interested in pursuing a career in Criminal Justice from law enforcement to probation, and everything in between. This communication is an invitation to all who could benefit just from the Citizen’s Police Academy for future career endeavors, or those who are just looking to gain more insight on the internal workings of the local criminal justice system.
