At approximately 6:30 p.m., Sheriff's Office deputies, along with fire and emergency medical service (EMS) personnel  responded to Murray Drive in Burton to a report of an adult male victim pinned under a mobile home. When they arrived, deputies interviewed witnesses, while fire and EMS personnel tended to and freed the victim from beneath the mobile home. When freed, the victim was transported by EMS to the Beaufort Memorial Hospital and has since been transferred to the Medical University of South Carolina.

At the scene, deputies learned that the victim was involved in a dispute with an adult male subject. At some point during the dispute, the adult male subject drove his pickup truck toward the victim and pinned him against the mobile home. The mobile home then collapsed and trapped the victim underneath.

The adult male subject was at the scene when deputies arrived and is currently being interviewed. As of the time of this advisory, there was no condition update on the victim and the subject had not been charged.
