August 6

Shoplifting - 1000 EC Plaza:
At 1517 hours, an officer responded to the report of a shoplifting that just occurred. The suspect stole approximately $200 worth of cosmetics and fled through the rear doors of the business.

Warrant Arrest - 10900 San Pablo Ave:
At 1251 hours, a 59-year-old San Francisco man turned himself in for an ECPD forgery warrant. He was booked and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Recovered stolen vehicle - Tamalpais Dr. / Fairview Ct:
At 1253 hours, a CSO located a 1992 Honda Accord reported as stolen to the Richmond Police Department on 07-24-2018.

Robbery (No Weapon) – 11299 San Pablo Ave:
At 1826 hours, officers responded to a business on the report of a robbery with no weapon seen. The unknown suspect entered the business, ordered the cashier to give him money, and then fled the business on foot.

Auto Burglary – Parking lot of 8000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 2002 hours, an officer reports an unknown suspect forced entry into the victim’s vehicle by breaking a window and stealing property.

Auto Burglary – Parking lot of 8000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 2036 hours, an officer reports an unknown suspect forced entry into the victim’s vehicle by breaking a window and stealing property.

Residential Burglary – 2000 Block Key Blvd:
At 2255 hours, an officer responded to a residential burglary where an unknown suspect forced entry into the victim’s home earlier in the day. The victim was not home at the time the burglary occurred.

August 7

Stolen Vehicle – 700 block of Albemarle St: At 1225 hours, an officer responded to the report of a stolen vehicle. The officer discovered an unknown suspect stole a black 2000 Honda CRV was stolen in between 0600 and 1230 hours.

Possession of a concealed dagger and paraphernalia – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1538 hours, an officer responded to the report of a suspicious person at Safeway who was causing a disturbance. Officers contacted a 42-year-old San Francisco man who was found to be in possession of a dirk concealed in his pocket and drug paraphernalia.

Disorderly conduct – Public Intoxication - San Pablo Ave. / Stockton Ave.
At 1724 hours, an officer contacted a 44-year-old Richmond man during a suspicious person contact and determined he was intoxicated. The man was arrested, booked, and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Recovered Stolen License Plate / Theft of a License Plate – Kearney St / Central Ave:
At 2303 hours, an officer located the license plate from an earlier reported stolen vehicle, and it was attached to a similar car which was not reported stolen.

Auto Burglary – 200 Block of Ashbury Ave:
At 0147 hours, officers responded to the 200 block of Ashbury Avenue on the report of an auto burglary in progress. Upon arrival, the victim’s vehicle showed evidence of forced entry. An area search was conducted, and an officer located a suspect exiting a car parked in the 100 block of Behrens. The suspect immediately fled and jumped over a fence into the rear yard of a nearby house on Behrens. With the assistance of the Albany PD and Richmond PD’s, the suspect was ultimately apprehended within the grounds of the Albany Middle School. The suspect, a 20-year-old Richmond man, was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility. A continuing investigation has linked the suspect to a total of 6 auto burglaries in the area.

Warrant Arrest – 11344 San Pablo Ave:
At 0313 hours, officers responded to Denny’s on the report of a suspect causing a disturbance. Officers arrived and located a 45-year-old Richmond woman who had two warrants for her arrest. She was arrested, booked at the ECPD and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant Arrest - Cutting Blvd. S. 50th St:
At 1512 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted a 43-year-old Richmond woman who had a warrant for her arrest. The woman was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Hit and Run – Lexington Ave / Central Ave:
At 1841 hours, an officer responded to a non-injury hit and run collision. The victim reported her vehicle was hit by the suspect vehicle which was last seen driving east on Central Ave.

Battery – 5200 Block of School St:
At 2021 hours, an officer responded to a residence regarding two adult sisters fighting over dirty dishes in the sink. The sisters, ages 23 and 31, refused medical attention and declined to prosecute.

Trespassing – 11344 San Pablo Ave:
At 2035 hours, an officer responded to Denny’s for an unruly man refusing to leave. Officers contacted a 61-year-old Oakland man and asked him to leave. The man appeared to be heavily intoxicated and threatened to shoot the officer. The man was taken into custody without incident and transported to the ECPD for booking.

Drunk in Public / Resisting Arrest – 6060 Central Ave:
At 0138 hours, officers responded to a call of an intoxicated male who had fallen into a bush outside the restaurant. Officers contacted a 30-year-old Richmond man who was seated on the walkway near the entrance to Nations. The man was heavily intoxicated and was uncooperative. The man refused to comply with the orders of an officer and was ultimately arrested.

August 9

Stolen Vehicle Recovered – 100 block of San Carlos Ave:
A CSO located a stolen 1993 Honda Accord reported as stolen to the Oakland PD. The vehicle was released to the owner at the scene.

Auto Burglary – 11545 San Pablo Ave:
At 1824 hours, an officer reports the victim’s vehicle was broken into while parked near Ross. The victim was standing outside Ross and observed two unknown suspects approach his car and break the passenger side window. The suspects stole the victim’s backpack and fled.

Shoplifting – 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 2049 hours, an officer responded to Safeway for a 34-year-old Martinez man who was in custody for stealing six packages of coffee. The man was released with a citation.

Shoplifting – 670 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 2111 hours, an officer reports an unknown suspect in his 50’s wearing a black jacket and black pants was seen putting approximately $150 worth of cosmetics in a backpack. The suspect fled the store prior to officers arriving on scene.

Warrant Arrest – 6060 Central Ave:
At 2136 hours, officers responded to an unruly male refusing to leave the restaurant. Officers contacted a 37-year-old man from San Francisco who was a parolee-at-large. The man was booked at the ECPD and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Domestic Battery – Portola Dr / BART Path:
At 0022 hours, while conducting an area check for a screaming female, an officer contacted a 35-year-old San Pablo woman who initially provided a false name. During the investigation, officers learned that the female had assaulted her boyfriend earlier in the day. The female was booked and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

August 10

Warrant Arrest - San Pablo Ave / Hill Street:
At 2210 hours, an officer arrested a 35-year-old and a 19-year-old for outstanding warrants for their arrest. Both men were transported to the El Cerrito Police Department and later released with a citation.

Possession of Controlled Substance – San Pablo Ave / Eastshore Blvd:
At 0134 hours, an officer responded to a residential burglary where an unknown suspect had forced entry into the victim’s home earlier in the day and took property. The victim was not home at the time the burglary occurred.

August 11

Possession of Controlled Substance, Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave / Cutting Blvd:
At 1920 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 32-year-old man from Newark on an outstanding warrant. An ECPD K9 was used to search the interior of the vehicle, and a small amount of controlled substance was located. The driver, a 44-year-old man from Berkeley, was also arrested. Both men were later released with a citation.

Driving Under the Influence – Key Blvd / Conlon Ave:
At 2121 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 47-year-old El Cerrito man for DUI. The man was transported to the El Cerrito Police Department and later released with a citation.

Warrant – Central Ave / San Pablo Ave:
At 2229 hours, an officer contacted a 26-year-old Richmond man and arrested him on an outstanding warrant. The man was later released with a citation from the El Cerrito Police Department.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery – Cutting Blvd / San Pablo Ave:
At 0023 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 27-year-old Richmond woman for being in possession of a stolen vehicle. The woman was booked and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

August 12

Vehicle Pursuit, Driving Under the Influence – Central Ave / San Mateo St:
At 0137 hours, an officer attempted to make a traffic stop, and the vehicle failed to yield. The officer engaged in a brief pursuit which was terminated due to public safety concerns. The vehicle was located moments later and the driver, a 32-year-old, was arrested and determined to be intoxicated. The man was booked and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

August 13

Auto Burglary – 10000 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 2117 hours, an officer reports that the rear driver side window of the victim’s Honda Civic was shattered and a purse was stolen.

Trespassing – 8400 block of Buckingham Drive:
At 0000 hours, officers responded to a residence where a 28-year-old transient male was found sleeping in a downstairs bedroom. The man had entered through an unlocked bathroom window. The man was booked and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
