LOCATION: Two residences in the 300 block of Palm Avenue, City of Barstow
SUSPECT: Larry Campbell, 40 years of age, resident of Barstow
Benson Huff, 43 years of age, resident of Barstow
Meagan Nelson, 27 years of age, resident of Barstow
Casey Castiglione, 31 years of age, resident of Barstow
SUMMARY:
On August 7, 2018, Deputy J. Zeman of the Barstow Sheriff’s Station authored a search warrant for a residence in the 300 block of Palm Avenue in the City of Barstow. At approximately 5:10 P.M., the search warrant was executed with the assistance of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Valley Regional Gang Team.
A loaded revolver, large amounts of methamphetamine, and ammunition were located within the residence during the search. Several items commonly associated with the sales of narcotics were found. Larry Campbell was arrested for being a felon in possession of a controlled substance with a loaded firearm and ammunition; conspiracy to commit a crime; and maintaining a house for sales of controlled substances.
A consensual search of a second residence was conducted. Benson Huff was found to be in possession of high caliber ammunition and liquid phencyclidine (PCP). Huff was arrested for conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance.
Additional subjects on the premises, Casey Castigilione and Meagan Nelson, were contacted during the searches. Castiglione was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Nelson was arrested for unrelated outstanding warrants.
