SUSPECT VEHICLE: 2016 Black Honda Accord
On August 9, 2018, at approximately 8:50 A.M., a Milpitas Police officer located an unoccupied suspicious car parked in the parking lot of the Best Value Inn motel, located at 485 South Main Street, in Milpitas. A records check on the car revealed it was reported stolen to the San Jose Police Department, on August 2, 2018. Milpitas Police detectives conducted surveillance on the car and determined the driver, Athena McNary, a 33-year-old San Jose resident, was associated to a room at the motel. Officers made contact with McNary and took her into custody without incident.
Detectives contacted two additional subjects in the motel room and they were identified as Saren Alexander and Tarron Browden. A records check on Tarron Browden revealed he had two felony no-bail warrants for violation of his probation. Both Saren Alexander and Tarron Browden were found to be in possession of suspected crystal methamphetamine. Detectives searched the car and motel room and found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, personal identifying information of others, suspected stolen credit cards, a stolen United States Passport, and stolen mail.
Athena McNary was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for driving a stolen vehicle and auto theft with priors. Tarron Browden was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for his warrants, and Saren Alexander was cited and released for being in possession of a controlled substance. An investigation is ongoing regarding the status of the credit cars, mail, and passport.
