Deputies arrest Dennis Carbajal of Beaumont for Possession of Stolen Vehicle and Transportation of suspected Cocaine

SUMMARY:
On Saturday, August 18, 2018, deputies assigned to the Central Patrol Station received information regarding a vehicle stolen out of the Moreno Valley area. They checked the area and located the Green 1993 Honda near Victoria Ave and Lynwood Ave in San Bernardino. The driver, Dennis Carbajal, was detained without incident. Carbajal was on both Felony Probation and PRCS Probation for stealing cars out of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. A search of the vehicle resulted in locating approximately 66 grams of suspected cocaine. Also found were multiple cellular phones, a laptop computer, keys and key fobs.
Deputy Lopez arrested Carbajal for possession of stolen vehicle and transportation of suspected cocaine. Carbajal was transported and booked into Central Detention Center.
As a reminder, suspect Carbajal was on felony PRCS probation. Felony PRCS probation was created as a result of California Assembly Bill 109 (AB109).
As part of Governor Jerry Brown's Realignment Plan, or Assembly Bill 109, to comply with a U.S. Supreme Court Decision requiring the state to lower its prison population; offenders with non-violent, non-sexual and non-serious convictions will serve reduced sentences in county jails and be placed on local supervision through county probation.
