On 8-19-18 at about 5:43 PM, Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Kern County Park rangers were sent to the Kern River just east of Hart Park regarding a report of found human remains located in the river. They arrived and confirmed it was human remains. Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
