Beginning on Wednesday, August 22nd, 12th Street at the Nederland Avenue intersection will be closed. Due to the drainage component of the “Nederland Avenue Paving, Drainage, and Utilities” project and related utility work in the intersection, it is necessary to close 12th Street at this intersection; this is to ensure the safety of motorists and the construction crew. At this time, it is anticipated the street will remain closed for the next two weeks. Motorists must find alternate routes. To clarify, Nederland Avenue will remain open, but near the 12th Street intersection, the traffic lanes will be tighter.
