Parents arrested for child endangerment for leaving toddlers unattended while they shopped at Los Cerritos Center..
On Friday, August 24, 2018, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Cerritos Station deputies, while patrolling the parking lot of the Los Cerritos Center, were contacted by a concerned citizen regarding two children she found in the parking lot.
A preliminary investigation revealed the children, ages two and three, were discovered by the citizen sleeping in a stroller which was located outside of and to the rear of a parked vehicle. At approximately 9:35 p.m. the children’s parents were located. The parents had been shopping inside the mall. Suspect Saud Audousari and Suspect Muneirah Almowanas were both arrested for felony child endangerment.
The children were transported to Long Beach Memorial Hospital as a precautionary measure. The children were later released from the hospital and placed under the care of the Department of Children and Family Services.
