Water System Maintenance Work to Affect Water Service for Several St. Peters Neighborhoods on Thursday, Aug. 30
The City of St. Peters Utilities Department has scheduled work to replace a water main valve and add another valve onto the water distribution system on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018.
This work will affect water service in the following areas: Garden View Drive, West Garden Walk Drive, East Sunny Hill Blvd, Sunny View Drive, Sunny View Court, Sunbeam Drive, Sunbeam Court and Suntree Drive. Customers in those areas can expect to experience no water or lower water pressure during this maintenance project on Aug. 30 beginning at 8 a.m. Water is expected to be restored by 3:30 p.m. During this time, customers are advised not to use their water.
The City of St. Peters will issue another notice when service is restored.
The St. Peters Utilities Department does not believe a boil order will be necessary once service is restored, but affected customers may boil their water as a precautionary step if they wish. The City of St. Peters will collect a water quality sample as a precaution, and results will be available within 24 hours.
After the work is complete, customers may see some discolored water from their internal plumbing due to loss of water pressure. If you experience discolored water, please run your bathtub faucet and an outside spigot for 5 minutes or until water is clear.
