Arrest of Juvenile for Making Threats of School Shooting.

SUSPECT(S): Confidential male juvenile
VICTIM(S): Confidential juveniles
SUMMARY: On August 30, 2018, Deputy Fifita from the Victor Valley Sheriff's Station, was working as the School Resource Officer for the Oro Grande School District. Fifita received information a student on the campus of Riverside Preparatory High School threatened to shoot up the school and other students. During the investigation, detectives from the Victor Valley Sheriff's Station served a search warrant at the student's home and recovered a high volume of firearms. The juvenile suspect was arrested and booked into the High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Center for criminal threats and threatening school officials. There is no additional threat to the safety of the children or the staff at the school.
This investigation is part of the Sheriff's Departments ongoing effort to suppress criminal activity and safeguard the communities and citizens it serves.
