MANDATORY SHUT-OFF OF SPRINKLERS UNTIL NEXT TUESDAY -- The major water main break in Richardson has caused Sachse officials to require residents to temporarily suspend irrigation watering. Water quality will not be affected.

Sachse is joining Garland, Murphy, Plano, Richardson and Wylie with mandatory restrictions prohibiting outdoor watering while NTMWD crews repair a 72-inch water line break in Richardson.

While the North Texas Municipal Water District is working quickly to restore full capacity of the transmission system, the repair may take at least 72 hours to complete.

Sachse residents are under a temporary mandatory elimination of automatic irrigation sprinklers until 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4 at which time the system capacity is anticipated to be restored.

Water to homes and businesses in Sachse has not been affected but these conservation measures are precautionary to ensure our water storage is maintained at a safe level until the transmission line can be repaired.
