08/01/2018 *Larceny by Conversion
6400 Block of Whitmore Lake- Complainant reported that suspect leased a trailer for a negotiated time frame and failed to return the trailer. Contact with the lessee did not get the property returned – the case has been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office
08/02/2018 *Larceny (Theft)
9300 Block of Main St-Complainant reported that sometime between Saturday July 28 & Thursday August 2, an unknown subject removed both her kayak and oars from her patio. Case remains under investigation.
08/02/2018 *Arrest-Fugitive Felony Warrant
300 Block of Six Mile Rd – Officer on patrol observed a possible domestic violence, upon investigation of the incident it was determined that a male subject had an outstanding warrant. Subject was arrested and turned over to the MI State Police
08/05/2018 * Retail Fraud
9500 Block of Main St – Complainant advised that subject was caught stealing liquor from his store. Officers arrived interviewed suspect and determined that she did attempt to steal the item in question. Suspect was released from the scene and a warrant request was submitted to the prosecutor’s office.
08/05/2018 *Larceny from Motor Vehicles
100 Block of Beachway – Complainants (3), advised that while their vehicles were parked from 1AM Saturday 08/04 until 9AM Sunday 08/05, an unknown subject(s) entered their vehicles and removed purses and wallets. Property and possible evidence was recovered at the scene, video footage is being reviewed and the case remains under investigation.
08/05/2018 *Illegal Dumping
N Maple Rd & W N. Territorial Rd – Complainant advised that he observed a possible illegal dumping incident and got the license plate of the vehicle involved. An officer investigated and determined a suspect, the suspect was contacted and offered to clean up the debris he left behind. The area was cleaned up, the complainant satisfied and the case closed.
08/05/2018 *Arrest – Fugitive Felony Warrant
Walnut & Ash – Officers were called to investigate a suspicious occupied vehicle – through the investigation it was determined an individual associated with the vehicle had an outstanding warrant. Subject was arrested for the agency holding the warrant.
08/10/2018 *Malicious Destruction of Property
9100 Block of Lincoln-Complainant reported that sometime between August 9 & 10, an unknown individual moved his planter, appeared to have used his utility box to stand on and cut his cable line. No suspects, witnesses or investigative leads at this time.
08/10/2018 *Narcotic Paraphernalia
8 Mile & U.S 23 – Traffic Stop-Officer observed traffic violation (defective equipment). During the traffic stop the Officer discovered narcotic paraphernalia. The driver was ticketed for both the defective equipment and the narcotic paraphernalia.
08/11/2018 *Arrests (2) Fugitive Warrants
400 Block of Diamond Circle- Complainant reported that unwanted guests were in her residence. During the investigation it was discovered that the two subjects were both wanted on warrants out of other jurisdictions. The two subjects were arrested on the outstanding warrants and turned over to the jurisdictions holding the warrants.
08/11/2018 *Malicious Destruction of Property
300 Block of Six Mile Rd – The owner of a business reported that sometime between August 10 6 PM and August 11 8am, unknown individual(s) spray painted three drawings on the side of his business wall. No suspects, witnesses or investigative leads.
08/12/2018 *Larceny
400 Block of E Northfield Church- Complainant reported that he used his weed whip approximately July 31, and he believes someone removed it from his garage area. Case remains under investigation.
08/12/2018 *Arrest Fugitive Felony Warrant
200 Block of Diamond Circle- Complainant reported that a known (possibly intoxicated) subject was pounding on the window. Officers arrived and observed subject alongside of residence. Subject was identified and discovered to have outstanding warrants. Subject was arrested for the agency holding the warrants.
08/12/2018 *Larceny – Defrauding the Innkeeper
9800 Block of Main St-Complainant reported that suspect entered establishment, ordered a meal including desert and then left without paying for it. The owner of the business discovered subject on the street outside of his business, police arrived and arrested suspect. Charges have been forwarded to the prosecutors office.
08/13/2018 *Fraud –Larceny by False Pretense
8100 Block of Rushton- Complainant reported that an unknown subject representing her Computer Assistance Company manipulated victim into believing she was receiving a rebate and further manipulated her out of several thousand dollars. Case remains under investigation.
08/17/2018 *Identity Theft
8300 Block of Spencer- Complainant advised that he has been receiving credit cards in the mail, but has not opened any accounts. All cards have been cancelled and the credit bureaus advised. At the time of the report, no financial loss had been determined..
08/18/2018 *Unlawful Driving Away of an Automobile – (Stolen Auto)
100 Block of Lakeview –Owner reported that he observed his parked vehicle on August 17 at approximately 11:00pm and then discovered it missing on August 18 at 5:25am. In addition to the theft, the vehicle carried many tools. The victim stated that he had left his keys in his vehicle and the vehicle unlocked. The vehicle has been recovered, evidence was obtained from the vehicle and forwarded to the crime lab. The case remains under investigation.
08/18/2018 *Arrest – Operating While Intoxicated
7600 Block of Kearney-Officers observed a reckless driver in the area of the high school, the vehicle stopped on Kearney and officers observed the driver exhibiting signs of intoxication. After submitting to sobriety tasks, the driver was arrested, the vehicle impounded and evidence confiscated from the vehicle. A warrant has been submitted to the prosecutor.
08/20/2018 *Larceny (Theft) From Yard
500 Block of E. Northfield Church-Victim reported that sometime in August, someone removed his miscellaneous hunting supplies (blind bases) from his property. No witnesses or investigative leads were determined.
08/27/2018 * Malicious Destruction of Property
5000 Block of Katie Lane – Complainant reported that after an argument, a known subject broke out her back vehicle window. Complainant wanted the incident documented, but did not desire prosecution.
089/27/2018 *Hit & Run Property Damage
6400 Sutton – Officers investigated a private property hit & run crash involving a white colored Ford Edge. A report was filed.
08/29/2018 *Larceny (Theft)
7000 Block of Whitmore Lake Rd – Victim reported that her business assistant took a client’s payment and never turned the money over to her. The case remains under investigation.
