DATE/TIME: August 27, 2018, 11:00 p.m. & September 1, 2018 10:30pm
INCIDENT: Assault with Deadly Weapon, Robbery
LOCATION: 12500 block of Tablerock Lane, Victorville & 14800 block of Coachman Rd., Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Unknown black male adult or juvenile
VICTIM(S): Victim #1, female adult & Victim #2, female juvenile

SUMMARY: On August 27, 2018, at approximately 11:00 p.m., victim #1 arrived home and parked in her driveway. When she exited her vehicle and began walking to the front door a small dark color sedan drove up and stopped in the street, directly in front of her home. The driver exited his vehicle and ran toward the victim. The suspect attempted to take the victim's purse and during the altercation the suspect struck the victim with a large, machete style weapon. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim received major injuries and was transported by air to a nearby trauma center.

On September 1, 2018, at approximately 10:30pm, victim #2 arrived home and parked in her driveway. When she exited her vehicle a small dark color sedan stopped in the street, in front of her home. The driver exited his vehicle and ran at the victim. The suspect attempted to take the victim's purse and during the altercation the suspect struck the victim with a large, machete style weapon. The suspect fled the scene. The victim received moderate injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.

It is believed the same suspect is responsible for both of these crimes. The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 16 and 24, approximately 5’09” to 6’00”, with a very thin build. In both incidents, he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and driving a small dark colored sedan.
