Sunnyvale Man Drowns at Woodward Reservoir 
The Sheriff’s Department Dive Team has recovered the body of a 26-year-old Sunnyvale man who drowned at Woodward reservoir on Monday afternoon. Victor Sagastume-Menjivar had been swimming with family members near Area U at the reservoir when he was last seen at around 11:45 AM. Deputies were on scene with a boat within minutes of getting the call, however, were unable to locate Sagastume-Menjivar.
The Sheriff’s Department Dive Team responded to the reservoir and located the body at around 5:00 PM. Sagastume-Menjivar was not wearing a life vest and alcohol does not appear to be a factor. This is the first drowning at Woodward Reservoir this year.
