Good Wednesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Monday, 9/3/18, and Tuesday, 9/4/18.

9/3/18

-100 blk Veretto Rd, Levelland: Theft. A deputy responded to a reported theft of tools in the area. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

-800 blk Lovebird Rd, Smyer: Burglary. A deputy was dispatched to a reported burglary of a building in the area. Several tools were taken from a building on the property. The issue is being investigated.

-US 84 at Lubbock County Line, Anton: Vehicle Burglary. A deputy was dispatched to a vehicle burglary report. The vehicle had been parked along the highway and the damage was discovered when retrieved by the owner. The matter is being investigated.

-6500 blk Kansas Rd, Anton: Alarm. A deputy responded to an alarm call at a residence in the area. The deputy was cancelled while en route by the owner.

-FM 2130 at Louisiana Rd, Anton: Illegal Dumping. A deputy completed a report related to an illegal dumping complaint. Information was collected and the matter is being investigated.

-100 blk Veretto Rd, Levelland: Criminal Mischief. A deputy met with a complainant after an individual damaged a vehicle window. A report was taken, and information about a suspect was provided to the deputy.

-100 blk E Hwy 114 Estates, Smyer: Fire. A deputy responded to a reported fire in the area north of Hwy 114. The fire department extinguished the fire.

9/4/18

-FM 168 at Koala Rd, Smyer: Vehicle Crash. A deputy was dispatched to a minor vehicle crash in the area. A trooper conducted the crash investigation and the deputy assisted as needed.

-6300 blk Cactus, Levelland: Burglary. A deputy met with a complainant to follow up on a previous reported offense. Information was collected to add to reports.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, patrols in and around area schools, civil process service, and investigative follow-up activities.

Jail population as of 9/5/18 at 0800 hours: 52 in Hockley County, 2 to be processed, 53 out of county.
