Single vehicle crash leads to death of female. 
At approximately 203am this morning deputies with the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office and New Goshen Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle fire on US 150 in Libertyville in Northwest Vigo County. Upon arrival officers discovered the vehicle had been involved in a violent crash and had caught fire. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle is believed to be a 28 year old female from Paris IL. The cause of death was found to be blunt force trauma however due to the fire final determination of the identity of the victim is pending.
It appears the vehicle left the roadway while traveling North on US 150 and overcorrected causing the vehicle to leave the roadway strike an embankment returned to roadway and caught fire. Due to the destrive nature of the fire it could not be determined if the occupant was restrained at the time of the crash.
