On Saturday, September 8, 2018, Captain Chris Perez, East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station, in conjunction with Community Partnerships Bureau, will conduct a Public Trust Partnership Community Survey in the unincorporated area of East Los Angeles and the City of Commerce, adjacent to Saybrook Park.
Deputies will be going door to door and speaking with community members to inquire directly from them about their concerns. Our goal is to bridge the gaps, strengthen relationships, and identify the issues that are directly affecting the neighborhoods we serve.
More than 75 Sheriff’s Department personnel, including Deputies, Reserves, Volunteers, and Explorers will actively participate in the neighborhood survey of approximately 700 homes.
After the survey results have been compiled and evaluated, Captain Perez will host a Town Hall meeting with the community to share the information and concerns gathered from the residents. The Sheriff’s Department will develop and implement strategies to address any issues identified from the community survey.
