The Greenback Lane/Folsom-Auburn Road pavement rehabilitation project will require an overnight closure of Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, September 9 between Folsom-Auburn Road and Scott Street from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Motorists are encouraged to take Lake Natoma Crossing to Natoma Street to Riley Street as an alternate route.
Evening work will continue in the area nightly through Wednesday, September 12 while crews apply an asphalt overlay on Greenback Lane and Folsom-Auburn Road. The Rainbow Bridge will remain open during the nighttime construction.
The City of Folsom does not anticipate the closures will create significant traffic delays. Message signs will alert motorists in advance of the closure before work begins. The Greenback Lane/Folsom-Auburn Road pavement rehabilitation project will be completed by Sunday, September 30.
