Washington School Closed September 13, 2018 All other district schools will be open. 
As part of the planned school renovations to Washington School, soil samples from below the building were tested to analyze subterranean soil and air quality. These tests resulted in elevated soil gas screening levels. Due to these results, additional testing will be performed on an expedited basis.
The health, safety and welfare of the students and staff of Washington School is a main concern. For this reason, Washington School will be closed on Thursday, September 13, 2018. All other district schools will remain open on a regular full day schedule. Also, all planned after school activities scheduled for Washington School are canceled.
During this time a relocation plan will be formulated. Parents will be notified of the relocation status of students and staff no later than 5:00 PM on Thursday, September 13th.
