Special Message- Notice of Hearing

The citizen petition put forth by Town Moderator Harold Bragg seeking the interim appointment of Ben Cole and Mike Schwotzer to the Board of Selectmen was heard in Rockingham Superior Court on Wednesday afternoon. Judge Schulman ordered a hearing to be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 9:00 am in regards to the petition. We are hopeful at the conclusion of the hearing, a judicial appointment to two of the vacant seats will be made, allowing for a quorum to be formed, and those board members will appoint a third member during the ordinary course of their duties to serve until the March 2019 election.

Please see Judge Schulman’s order for additional information. It can be located on the town website, posted to the community message board in the lobby of the town hall, and at the Country Brook Cafe, as well as on the Kensington Police Department’s Facebook page.
