Arrest made for assault with a deadly weapon
On 09/14/18 at approx. 5:22 pm Officers responded to 40th St. and Hubbard St. for a subject hitting a woman in the head with an axe. Prior to the arrival of Officers a passing motorist came to the aide of the women and provided her a ride to a nearby gas station where Officers met with her.
Officers subsequently located the subject who was identified as Christopher Jennings, 33 years of age and a resident of Oakland. Jennings was placed under arrest for the related charges and transported to jail.
The victim sustained and was treated at a local area hospital for non-life threatening wounds.
