Sheriff's Office Emergency Management resumes normal operations. Thank you for staying informed throughout this storm

Good Evening,

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Management Division resumed normal operations at 5:00 p.m. today as Beaufort County is no longer at risk of significant impacts from Tropical Storm Florence. In the interest of protecting the property of Beaufort County residents who evacuated, Sheriff’s Office enforcement operations will remain supplemented with additional personnel to proactively patrol residential areas and businesses through the weekend. Enforcement operations will be scaled back to normal at the appropriate time.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to take this opportunity to extend our appreciation to Beaufort County's residents and guests for their patience and for staying informed throughout this stressful storm event. We would also like to recognize our partners from the state, county and municipal governments and elected officials for their support of emergency operations in Beaufort County over the past week.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our neighbors to the north who experienced devastation from this storm.
