Saunders Blvd between Churchill Down Dr and Bronwyn closed due to power poles down. Maple St. between N. Pine and Blue St. closed due to power lines down & Bethune between Seagraves St to NC 211 Closed. All other roads in Aberdeen open. Use caution driving. Currently there are 1400 power outages in Aberdeen, Duke Progress Energy has sent response team to assist with restoring power, there is no time table. There is a chance of additional outages as Florence continues to drop large amounts of rain on already saturated ground. We still discourage unnecessary travel. Water department continues to work to maintain water supplies, please conserve water until storm is over.
