Advisory

Community Message from Town Manager Melissa P. Adams.

The state of emergency for the Town of Hope Mills will continue until further notice. This includes the curfew that lasts from sunset to sunrise. Due to continued flooding, road closures, and power outages throughout the area, the Town offices will remain closed on Monday, September 17.

Emergency responders are continuing to work throughout the area in response to the hurricane. Residents are asked to be patient, and use sound judgement when traveling in the area. We urge you to stay off of the roads unless you have a legitimate reason such as medical or, traveling to and from work.

Localized flooding, debris removal, and work on power lines may mandate road closures, and possible detours. There will likely continue to be non-functioning traffic signals due to power outages.

We want to thank our public safety, and first responders for their tireless response during this extreme weather event. I’d also like to thank all Town staff for working through stressful conditions.

Melissa P. Adams
Town Manager
