Beginning on Thursday, September 20, 2018 through Sunday, September 23, 2018 there will be street closures in Downtown Elyria to accommodate the 2018 Elyria Apple Festival.
On Thursday, September 20, 2018, Middle Avenue from Broad Street to Third Street, 2nd Street from East Avenue to West Avenue and Court Street from Broad Street to 2nd Street will be closed to all traffic. On-street parking on those closed streets will be prohibited. The City Hall parking lot on 2nd Street will also be closed.
On Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 4:00am until 4:00pm, Broad Street will be closed for the annual Car Show from East Avenue to West Avenue to traffic, and on-street parking will be prohibited.
On Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 7:00am until 10:00am the Elyria Parks & Rec Department will have its annual 5K Run through the Washington Avenue area. Expect temporary street closures and delays on Washington Avenue, Ohio Street, Hamilton Street and Hamilton Circle and Glenwood Street.
The Apple Festival will conclude at 6:00pm Sunday, September 23rd. City staff plan on reopening the downtown streets by 10:00pm.
