The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Comanche County in southwestern Oklahoma... Southern Caddo County in southwestern Oklahoma... Southeastern Kiowa County in southwestern Oklahoma... Northeastern Tillman County in southwestern Oklahoma...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 347 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned area. Three to five inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is occurring or is imminent.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lawton, Anadarko, Frederick, Cache, Elgin, Apache, Snyder, Geronimo, Fletcher, Cyril, Sterling, Cement, Mountain Park, Medicine Park, Indiahoma, Manitou, Faxon, Cooperton, Meers and Tom Steed Reservoir.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CADDO, OK ... KIOWA, OK ... COMANCHE, OK ... TILLMAN, OK

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.
