...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING THROUGH
THURSDAY EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of Alabama and southern middle
Tennessee, including the following areas, in Alabama, Colbert,
Cullman, De Kalb, Franklin AL, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence,
Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan. In southern middle
Tennessee, Franklin TN, Lincoln, and Moore.

* From 7 AM CDT this morning through Thursday evening

* Rainfall of 2 to 4 inches is expected from today through
Thursday evening along with locally higher amounts. Based on the
amount of rain that has previously fallen, this will result in a
heightened threat for flash flooding. The potential for flash
flooding will be even greater if training of storms occur.

* Low water crossings and poor drainage areas will likely be the
locations with the highest risk of flash flooding.

Instructions:

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
