The Crystal Lake Police Department in partnership with McHenry County SafeKids, McHenry County Sheriff’s Police, Algonquin Police Department, and McHenry County Department of Health will host a unified child safety seat check event known as Seat Check Saturday on Saturday, September 29th. This free event is from 9:00am to 12:00pm at Pauly Toyota, 1035 South Route 31, Crystal Lake, IL.

Child Passenger Seat Safety technicians will be available to educate and assist parents and caregivers with the correct installation and use of child safety seats in their vehicles. Technicians at the event will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding child passenger safety recommendations.

No registration or appointment is necessary to participate, but parents are asked to bring the following to the event:

 The child for which the safety seat will be used for.
 The vehicle in which the child safety seat will be installed and the owner’s manual for the vehicle.
 The child safety seat to be used.
 The user’s guide or owner’s manual that was provided with the child safety seat.
