Road closure information for Trundle Bed Lane for 10/3/18 and fall safety message
Trundle Bed Lane will be closed on 10/3/18 from approximately 3:45 pm to 5:45 pm for the KES cross country event. The road will be closed to ALL traffic as children will be running through a section of the roadway, please seek an alternate route during those times. There is expected to be approximately 350 runners from across the region, so we anticipate a substantial volume of vehicles in the area during this two-hour window.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
The Kensington Police Department also wants to take this opportunity to remind residents as we move further into the fall and holiday season, to secure your residences and set your alarm systems if you have them. We do offer the service of house checks if you plan on being away from more than a few days. The house check request form can be found on our website, or you can stop by the police department to fill one out.
With fall clean-up knocking at our door, we also want to share a reminder about soliciting. Unpermitted soliciting in Kensington is prohibited. We take the process of enforcing this ordinance and vetting potential vendors seriously as it is a means for us to protect residents from illegitimate businesses and other criminal activity. Please report suspicious activity, to include soliciting of any kind, to the Kensington Police Department immediately by calling 772-2929 or 911.
