SUSPECT: Anthoni Michael Gardner, 29-year-old San Leandro resident
VEHICLE: Gray 2013 Chevrolet Camaro coupe 2-door
On September 30, 2018, at approximately 3:11 A.M., officers responded to the area of Montague Expressway and Interstate 680 for the report of a car bumper on the roadway. They found the car bumper and noticed that several street signs had also been knocked down. Officers followed a trail of debris and tire marks to a shopping center parking lot on Landess Avenue where they found a gray Chevrolet Camaro with major front end damage and the front bumper missing. The officers spoke to Anthoni Gardner who was changing a tire on the Chevrolet Camaro. He displayed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol, and the officers arrested him for DUI. Gardner was booked into the Santa Clara County main jail for driving under the influence of alcohol and hit & run.
