VEHICLE: Red 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata convertible coupe 2-door
On October 3, 2018, at approximately 2:32 A.M., officers responded to a possible vehicle accident heard on Old Calaveras Road. A caller reported hearing an accident and then seeing headlights shining from the side of the roadway. Officers arrived and discovered a red Mazda MX-5 Miata had collided with the hillside and a fence. Todd Bezenek was found nearby lying in a ditch, and he had minor injuries consistent with having been involved in a traffic collision. He also displayed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and later booked into the Santa Clara County main jail for driving under the influence of alcohol.
