INCIDENT: Attempt Murder/ Kidnapping/ Torture/ False Imprisonment

LOCATION: 8800 block of Catawba Avenue, Fontana

Roberto Gonzalez, age 39 a resident of Fontana
Adilene Calvillo, age 31 a resident of Fontana

SUMMARY:
On Thursday, October 4, 2018, at 1:43 p.m., a citizen called police regarding homeless persons occupying an abandoned residence on Catawba Avenue near Ceres Avenue, in the unincorporated area of Fontana. When deputies arrived, they encountered three subjects exiting the residence. Deputies detained the subjects and overheard shrieking cries for help from inside the residence. Deputies made entry into the residence and discovered a nude male adult. He was bound from his hands with rope and covered in white paint. The victim was severely beaten and sustained traumatic head and facial injuries. The victim was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for further examination and treatment of his injuries.

Investigators from the Fontana Sheriff’s Department, Criminal Investigations Division determined the victim had been kidnapped and was taken to the residence. He was beaten repeatedly with multiple blunt-force objects, and submerged in a tub of water, preventing him from breathing.

Jose Alvarez, Roberto Gonzalez and Adilene Calvillo were arrested for the above charges. They were transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center.
