Pedestrian killed in Northwest Vigo County. 
At approximately 410am this morning the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office and other emergency services were dispatched to US 150 in Shirkieville, which located in Northwestern Vigo County, for a report of a car/pedestrian accident. Upon completion of the preliminary investigation it appears a pedestrian, identified as Jennifer Jackson, 31, of West Terre Haute ran into the roadway for unknown reasons and into the path of a pickup truck traveling on US 150. The driver of the pickup, Tim Boone, 41, of West Terre Haute was unable to avoid striking Jackson. Mr. Boone was not injured in the crash and toxicology results were negative for Mr. Boone. Jackson was pronounced dead the scene and toxicology results are pending. Sheriff’s detectives will continue their investigation and members of the Vigo County Fatal Crash team were also called to the scene to assist in the crash investigation.
