The Davis Police Department, in cooperation with the UC Davis Police Department, will be conducting a Sobriety/Driver’s License Checkpoint on Thursday October 25, 2018 starting at 9 PM. The location of the checkpoint will be in the area of Russell Blvd. and Anderson Road in the City of Davis. Traffic flowing through the checkpoint will be contacted by uniformed Davis and UC Davis police officers who will be checking for alcohol or drug impaired drivers and valid driver’s licenses. The checkpoint will conclude around 2 AM. Results of the checkpoint will be distributed in a follow up press release next week.

The City and UC Davis Police Departments are both committed to keeping impaired drivers off the roadways. This checkpoint is being conducted as part of the Davis Police Department’s Fall Traffic Plan to both discourage drunk driving and educate the public about the dangers of impaired drivers. Educational material will be provided to motorists passing through the checkpoint.
