Details: On April 11, 2016, at approximately 8:00 PM, Corcoran officers were dispatched to a traffic collision at the intersection of Sherman and Chittenden Avenues. Officers located 39 year old Gustavo Ortega with a single gunshot wound to the chest. The victim died at the scene. Witnesses stated they observed the victim parked in the roadway arguing with another subject in a small dark colored vehicle. Witnesses told officers that they heard a gunshot and observed the dark colored vehicle speed away. The victim attempted to drive away but collided with an object in a front yard of a residence in the 1300 block of Chittenden Ave.
