Palmer Police are releasing information about a recent crime/crime activity near you. 
Palmer Township Police Incident #18-05695

Crime: Distraction Theft
Location: Wilden Drive area of Palmer Township
Date/Time: 10-25-2018 (Thurs.) between 1:00pm and 2:00PM

The Palmer Township Police Department is investigation a distraction theft by two male individuals sealing driveways which occurred on 10-25-2018 (Thurs.), between 1:00pm and 2:00pm. The individuals knocked on the door of a home on Wilden Drive in Palmer Township and sealed the driveway for an inflated price. The one male actor followed the home owner to the doorway of the bedroom as cash was obtained for payment. After the individuals left the home the home, a safe box was found missing from inside the bedroom dresser cabinet which contained cash.

Description of vehicle and actors obtained is as follows:

Vehicle: Older van type/utility vehicle, light beige or grey, no windows, door opening on back.
No markings on vehicle. Unknown registration.
Hose reel inside back with hose to apply driveway seal coating.
***Vehicle could possibly be a pickup type vehicle with a cap.

Actor 1: Hispanic looking male, 50’s, 5’9”, grey/black hair, clean shaven, medium build.
Actor 2: Hispanic looking male, 30-40’s, brown hair, 6’, clean shaven, medium build.

The public should be aware of these types of home scams with work vehicles having no business identification and inflated prices for the type of work being done. Home owners also should be aware of individuals entering their homes when exterior work is being done.
