EPD seeking woman who fled the scene of shooting that inured a 2 year old 
As part of the ongoing investigation into the accidental shooting that injured a 2 year old, Evansville Police are seeking Charico Carter as a possible witness.
Police believe Carter was in the apartment on Savanah Dr when the shooting happened, but fled before police arrived. Police believe Carter fled to avoid arrest on two misdemeanor warrants. She is not a suspect in the shooting.
Police believe the child found a loaded handgun in Carter's bedroom and accidentally shot herself. Police are trying to determine who owned the gun and how the child was able to access it.
