The National Weather Service in San Francisco has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 2 AM Tuesday to 6 AM PDT Wednesday for the East Bay Hills including Kensington and El Cerrito ridges.. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
Northerly winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph are predicted especially tomorrow night.
Locally stronger around Mt Diablo and Mt Hamilton.
Humidity will be 40-60% early tonight but lowering 9-19% Tuesday with little or no humidity recovery Tuesday night.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
