In August of 2018, a person hiking in Miwok Park called Novato Police Department to report a motorcycle they found near a trail. NPD Officers went to the park and found the motorcycle but were not able to locate anyone claiming to be the owner. When officers found the motorcycle, it appeared that the motorcycle was not functional. Several other items, presumably belonging to the motorcycle owner, were also located such as a sleeping bag, a helmet and clothing.

On October 23^rd, 2018 at around 4:15 pm, the Novato Police Department received a phone call from a relative of Michael Connor Edwards who inquired about the motorcycle that Novato Police Department towed from Miwok Park in August of 2018. Edwards is the registered owner of the towed motorcycle (photo included). A notice had been sent to Edwards’ residence by Novato Police advising that the motorcycle had been towed.  Edwards is a resident of Pinal County Arizona, the location where family member called from.

Edwards’ family told investigating officers that Edwards, who goes by the name Connor, had been on a road trip for the last nine months. Connor intended on riding through the northwest region of the United States before meeting with his family later in the year in New Orleans. Connor had been calling family members on a weekly basis up to the month of August and had not been heard of since.

After speaking with Connor’s family, Novato Police Department learned that an ATM/DEBIT card belonging to Connor was used in in San Francisco, CA in August of 2018 and after the date the motorcycle was towed from Miwok Park. Investigating officers confirmed that Conner was the person using the card.

Connor remains a missing person. The Novato Police Department is investigating Connor’s disappearance with the assistance of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona. We would also like to thank the California Department of Justice - Missing and Unidentified Persons Unit who has assisted us with the investigation. Connor’s photograph has been sent to law enforcement agencies throughout the State of California and Connor’s photograph has been placed on the State of California, Attorney General’s Website for Missing Persons.

Connor is a Caucasian male aged 25 years. He is 5'09" tall and weighs 160 pounds. Connor has black hair and brown eyes. Connor isn’t known to suffer from any medical conditions. His disappearance is unexpected. The Novato Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance with locating Connor and thank them in advance for any assistance provided.
