Detectives seize gaming tables, machines, and documents related to illegal gambling

LOCATION: 30386 Old State Highway 58, Barstow; High Noon Saloon
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, October 31, 2018, deputies and detectives from the Barstow Sheriff’s Station served a search warrant at the High Noon Saloon on Old State Highway 58 in the unincorporated area of Barstow. The search warrant was authored as a result of an ongoing investigation into allegations of illegal gambling taking place at the bar.
Various single-player and multi-player gaming tables, machines, and documents related to illegal gambling were seized from the business. The seizure included a quantity of money believed to be profits from the illegal gambling. The investigation is ongoing.
California’s state gambling laws prohibit the operations of such businesses. Convictions of these felony crimes can be punishable by a fine of up to $5,000 and/or a year in state prison.
