Police activity occurred early this morning off Des Peres Rd. 
Our department wanted to follow up on an incident that occured overnight and reported on the local news this morning. A subject fled from police in Caseyville, Illinois, who pursued the vehicle until the driver fled on foot in the woods near the intersection of Dougherty Ferry Rd and Des Peres Rd.
The subject was taken into custody with the assistance of a K-9 unit and officers from neighboring agencies.
There was no danger to our community and we are thankful for no injuries to the officers and suspect.
