On Friday, 11/2, a Nixle message was sent advising that a reported attempted luring incident in Mount Kisco was deemed not credible. The investigation concluded that there is no threat to the community. The language used in the original Nixle message was intended to convey only this message. It was by no means intended to suggest that the original call was baseless or improper. An event did, it fact, take place and the details received justified and immediate and significant police investigation. Based on the perceived circumstances of this event, those who reported the incident did exactly what law enforcement encourages of any victim of or witness to a suspicious incident- be as observant as possible without jeopardizing personal safety and report the incident to police as soon as possible. The Westchester County Police were able to resolve this case so quickly because of the information conveyed by those who reported it and they should be commended for such decisive action.
