...PATCHY DENSE FOG DEVELOPING ALONG THE EASTERN SLOPES OF THE
SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS THIS AFTERNOON...

Low clouds persisting along the eastern slopes of the mountains
are developing into patchy areas of dense fog this afternoon.
Visibility in the fog may be reduced to one-quarter mile or less
from time to time in locations along the North Carolina border
with Rabun County in Georgia and the South Carolina border along
the Upstate mountains. Additional patchy areas of dense fog may
extend along the northern Blue Ridge in the western North Carolina
mountains as well.

Use caution if driving in these areas. Permit extra travel time
and stopping distance. Use low beam headlights and fog lamps on
your vehicle if you encounter dense fog.
