Roadway improvements will begin in early November along
East Palomar Street between Paseo Ladera and Heritage Road
to accommodate construction of the new transit guideway as
part of the South Bay Rapid project. This work is expected to
continue through spring 2019.

During this time, motorists can expect construction equipment
moving in and out of lanes, reduced lane widths, lane closures,
restricted turn lanes, and traffic control equipment in the area.
Travelers are encouraged to give themselves more time and
anticipate possible traffic delays or consider taking an alternate
route to reach their destination. Additionally, motorists are
urged to slow down during construction. Your cooperation in
observing reduced speed limits through construction zones
increases safety for everyone involved.

All reasonable steps will be taken to minimize impacts to nearby
residents and motorists. The entire South Bay Rapid project
team greatly appreciates your patience during construction as
we work to bring new transportation choices to South County.
