At 900 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms along a
line extending from 9 miles south of Rutherfordton to 13 miles
southeast of Greenville Downtown to 9 miles south of Anderson, and
moving east at 35 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Spartanburg, Anderson, Shelby, Gaffney, Laurens, Forest City, Greer,
Mauldin, Simpsonville and Five Forks.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph will be possible over these areas.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Gusty winds can blow down trees that are dead, or that have weakened
root systems. Outdoor furniture and similar items can be tossed
around if not anchored. Seek shelter indoors.
