WEAPON: “Mac-11” assault pistol with an extended magazine
On November 4, 2018, at 1:32 A.M., Milpitas Police officers responded to the Embassy Suites Hotel, located at 901 E. Calaveras Blvd., on a report of an in-progress fight on the third floor involving 20 subjects.
An officer arrived on scene, within minutes, and encountered a juvenile suspect in the hotel lobby. The juvenile ran from the officer and a foot pursuit ensued. During the foot pursuit, the juvenile discarded a “Mac-11” assault pistol on the ground and continued fleeing the scene. The officer quickly apprehended the juvenile, in the parking lot, and located a loaded extended magazine on the ground near the juvenile suspect. All of the other individuals, involved in the fight, either fled the area or were uncooperative.
The juvenile was booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for carrying a concealed firearm, possession of an assault weapon, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence and for being in possession of an extended magazine.
