  • 32310 PC Carrying a high capacity magazine
  • 25400(a)(3) PC CCW in vehicle  
  • 25400 (c)(2) PC- Carrying concealed stolen firearm

Suspect:
  • O’Brien, Dilbert a 19 Year Old Pomona Resident
  • Hernandez, Marcello a 18 Year Old Pomona Resident
  • Sanford, Renall a 23 Year Old Pomona Resident

    Narrative:

On Saturday November 10, 2018, around 10:57 PM, members of the Pomona Police Department's Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) and the California Highway Patrol were partnered up, and working a gang suppression detail within the City of Pomona. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Logan St., of known Pomona gang members for vehicle code violations. The vehicle came to an abrupt stop and passengers began to bail out of the vehicle and flee on foot. Suspect Sanford and Suspect Hernandez were taken into custody immediately without incident.
 
Suspect O’Brien was taken into custody a short distance away from the vehicle without incident. Suspect O’Brien attempted to discard a small bag containing four loaded handguns.  All three Suspects were booked at the Pomona City Jail on the above-indicated charges.
