Newberry County Coroner’s Office along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating a multi-vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday November 11, 2018 at approximately 1:30 p.m. at 1019 Ira Kinard Road, Prosperity in Newberry County. Coroner Laura Kneece, has identified the driver as 23 year old, Zane McClendon Spigner of Prosperity.
An autopsy was performed this morning, November 12, 2018. It has been concluded that Mr. Spigner died of Multiple Blunt Force Injuries of the chest due to Motor Vehicle Collision and the manner has been determined to be an Accident. Mr. Spigner was not wearing a helmet.
This incident remains under investigation South Carolina Highway Patrol.
