Winter Weather Warning above 2500 & Advisory below 2500 7pm this evening through 1pm tomorrow
Below is a weather statement everyone has likely seen. Residents should take this seriously and be prepared ahead of time. Expect power outages due to downed trees and power lines. Please stay off the roadways and allow emergency services along with DOT do their jobs. Our area varies greatly with elevation changes meaning you may leave home in the valley at 1600’ and find yourself on dangerous icy conditions only a few miles away. The department will respond to calls however it may be a delayed response due to conditions and we will not pull vehicles out of ditches. We strongly encourage everyone to get what food, water, medications, etc that you may need today. Do not contact the department to ask about road conditions, we do not ride around just to see. You can contact DOT for road updates and as always monitor your local radio and television stations for updates and other information.
